Yes, your mind does create your physical reality. Your mind, being nonphysical, operates through the physical brain to allow you to perceive and create events in the physical world.
Very simple positive thoughts can change your current reality. Over an extended period of time, they can transform your life.
Beliefs largely determine what you think and feel, and so to get lasting change it is necessary to work with your beliefs until they naturally lead to positive thoughts and feelings.
Affirmations and emotions can move beliefs in the proper direction. You add energy to whatever you give your attention to. When you are aware of your mental power and believe in it, you increase it. Your thoughts are not primarily reaction to events, they are the cause of events. If you are paying attention to your imagination and inner world you are focused on the level where creation takes place.
If you focus on the external world of physical events, you are not focused on the level where creation takes place. By focusing on the inward order of events, you can control what happens to you. The art and science of forming events is not well known in our time.
Feeling states primarily make things happen. Confidence, feeling successful and in control is desirable. Focus on those feelings that give you the results you want. Look at those areas of your life that are working and transfer those feelings to the areas where you desire improvement.
